Overview

A natural slate roof lasts 80 to 100 years or more when correctly laid, outlasting concrete tile by decades. We have laid slate roofs across North Devon for over two decades, on new builds, listed buildings and historic churches. We work with natural slate, fibre-cement slate, random and diminishing courses, scantle roofs and eco slate. Diminishing courses, where slate sizes reduce towards the ridge, are common on North Devon's older properties and need an experienced hand to set out correctly. Every slate roof is laid to BS 5534, the British Standard for slating and tiling.
